Sabyasachi Sengupta ‘Zap’

Known in advertising circles as “Zap”, with an academic background in economics, photograhy and mass communications, Sabyasachi served in and helmed the creative departments of JWT, O&M and McCann-Erickson for long, loving years.

His body of work has been nominated and recognised at London International Awards, Cannes, New York Festivals, Abby, CAG, Ad Clubs of India, among others.

Mentored by the well-known director, Prahlad Kakar, his debut as an advertising film maker began when he wrote and directed the "Sachin mask: yeh dil mange more" commercial for Pepsi.

Happily and eagerly careening down the myriad highways of life, Pooja has an insatiable appetite for the great unknown. Culinary aficionado. Health and fitness devotee. Yoga enthusiast. Teacher of kindergarten children. There certainly are more than 24 hours in her average day.

Her experience as a producer in the field of communications spans more than a decade of producing non-fictional TV shows, as well as being part of some of India’s best known production houses specialising in advertising commercials.

As is firmly believed in Gingerwater Films, Pooja brings a sense of karmic calm and a method to the madness to the otherwise chaotic world of advertising film production.
